trying out some new old lenses

got three "new" old lenses from my grandpa since he was cleaning out his basement and doesn't need them anymore :) he's really spoiling me with all his old photography stuff! it's two 50mm lenses (Zeiss Jena Tessar 50mm f2.8 and another one I don't rememebr) and a zoom lens (Osawa 80-200mm f4.5).
naturally I had to take them with me to the zoo and try them out and they are quite good as soon as you're used to the manual focus

baby sea lion

yet another baby born at Zoo Schönbrunn means yet another blog post with pictures of cute little baby animals ;)
this time it's a baby sea lion, who is 3 days old right now, but already can make quite loud noises

baby giraffe: Arusha

finally caught a glimpse of the newest member of Zoo Schönbrunn. A "little" baby giraffe called Arusha!! she's actually not that little considering she was already taller than me when she was born ;)

well I guess compared to the other giraffes she's still tiny

still a little wobbly on the legs and following mom around, but oh so cute!!

I rarely manage to see the Orangutans so I was very happy that they were outside this time.




and this is also one of those animals that's always really hidden, sitting in the tree where nobody can see it. gotta take advantage of their sleep time to take pictures ;)
