new project: growing herbs

considering I don't have the best experiences with keeping plants and flowers alive, we'll see how that will go...but right now I'm highly motivated ;)

have a great weekend!
all pictures taken with the Tamron 17-50mm

2013-02-23

hello there, sweet new lens.

took my first step into the world of tamron lenses. I was looking for a standard zoom with a constant aperture. after some online research I kept going back to the tamron 17-50 f2.8 while I love my nikon 35mm, there are times where I would love some wider angle, so the 17-50 seemed perfect for that. haven't had a real chance to try it out properly yet, but so far I'm quite pleased definitely makes self portraits much easier than with a 35mm or 50mm ;)

we got out fair share of snow. and we're supposed to get even more over the night :)

beautiful autumn

there's a reason autumn is my favorite season. I just adore the different colors and the chilly but not yet to cold weather (though this year it's a little more than chilly already ;) Untitled not to mention that I can fully embrace my obsession with beanies and scarves ;) .

summer fun

went swimming today to escape this unbearable heat, thats really starting to get annoying. as much as I love summer, I could totally do with less then 35+ °C...especially during the night. there are supposed to be some storms tomorrow, so I'm hoping it'll bring along a little colder weather so I can finally sleep through one night again ;)

these were all taken with the 14-42mm. I'm really starting to enjoy that lens again, after putting it away for the most part since I got the 50mm. since that one is still broken, as I mentioned in the previous post, I'm rediscovering the awsomeness of the kitlens :)

198/365 - UNO

we went swimming (though I definitely prefer a pool over a lake anytime!! especially when there are big fishes in it) played UNO, which I think is one of the few games you can't grow out of lol cooled down with some ice cream and, believe it or not, a hot coffee. that's really the only hot beverage I can drink no matter how warm it is outside ;)

and I'm slowly starting to remember that not all pictures have to be perfectly sharp or rightly exposed.
sometime a little imperfection is what makes a picture interesting ;) anyone agree?

these were taken with the 35mm. the next one with the kit lens, cause my 50mm is off to get repaired. I've decided to look at it from the bright site and use this as an opportunity to use my other lenses more often.

I forgot what a good lens the 14-42mm is...may have to get that one out more often ;)

and I'm also in the proces of putting together a portfolio, which will probably consist of my own favorites for the most part. if you have any favorites yourself, I would love to know :)
