smooth smoke

got a tripod about a week ago and finally got around to try it out.
so I got out my incense sticks, set everything up and I have to say I quite like how it turned out.

and well, you know me and photoshop lol
so I ran it trough it and added some color to it, cause I wasn't all satisfied with the black/white

I think I'm gonna put that one up on my wall....not sure yet

holy crap how did you do that!? That is seriously amazing. The colors look way cool. How did you set that up to actually take the shoot. What are you using for a background...omg I am so in love with these it's just extremely cool and so very creative. I would totally put the last thing on your wall. I love that!

hehe thanks you two, I quite like themm too..and belive me that means something lol
the set up wasn't actually all that hard. just set up the tripod infront of the sticks and used an old black shirt as a backround. manually focused on the smoke then I darkened the room (not sure if you actually need the black backround if the room is dark anyway). used an external flash from behind the sticks and tried to take a pic at the same time the flash went off. believe me it took a lot of pics until I actually managed to get a picture of the smoke lol
since I don't have an actual external flash yet I just used the one from my sony cybershot ;)
