slowly getting into the christmas mood

of course all the christmas decoration and the pretty lights all around town certainly help. very tempted to get my christmas box out from the basement.

the weather was great the last couple of days. we have around 20°C and sun, so I'm definitely enjoying that.

also some good news. some stores are finally selling Ben&Jerry's Ice Cream. Still ridiciously overpriced in my opinion but at least now I can treat myself to it every once in a while ;)

I liked how they were sitting side by side and was fast enough to capture it

still freezing, but at least we're getting some sun now and then


found this little beauty on a flea market about two weeks ago. according to a photography store it should still work properly. will know for sure when I shoot the first film :)

totally unnecessary post, but I just felt like posting :)

it's getting cold...

I'm so not getting along with all that temparture change. yesterday we had about 11/12 °C, today it dropped to 5°C. guess its really starting to get cold.

hmm, wonder if these lanterns we have in the garden are gonna survive the winter...

I've switched the dropdown menu to a newer version, so it should work in all browsers now. If anyone has any problems with it, please let me know :)

looking at things from different angles

see, I'm really making an effort to blog more often hehe
with uni starting, I haven't had all that much time to take pictures, but I was looking through the pictures on my camera, and came across some I took right after I got the 50mm lens.

trying out some different angles is always fun and I wanted to know if the 50mm would also be good for macro pictures





with flowers I'm never sure, weither I like them better in color or b/w



I think it all depens on the flower itself. as much as I love b/w pictures, I think in this case I'm gonna go with color

this coming sunday its the end of summertime, which means we have to change all the clocks for one hour. good thing is we're gonna gain one hour, stupid thing is that its gonna get dark sonner than already. not a big fan of that for many reasons, one of them being thats its gonna suck for taking pictures in the afternoon.



but getting out all the candles, is definitely one good thing ;)

edit: hmm, looking at the pitures in firefox they look a little over-edited...they looked fine in PS :/

we finally had some sunny days here and what better way to spend the time in between lectures than trying out a new lens :)
not that pigeons are the most beautiful things to photograph, but meh gotta start somewhere, right

black and white try-out

ok, so I've been playing around with different settings on my camera lately and totally fell in love with the black/white setting.
we had a family thing last weekend, which was just the perfect opporunity to try it out :)

I really like this one. dunno why, I mean it's just a cup of coffee and the cup's not even all clean. but somehow with the black/white and the contrast being not that harsh, it kinda did it to me

random picture time

alrighty, time for another post, since it's been awhile

in regard of the last post, I eventually went with the lemon and the kiwi one, and kept the one with the two kiwis for me heh.
though I did bring all the pics I took, in case my mom wants another fruit, which she did not. but my grandfather saw looked at them too and he also wanted some, so it was very good I brought them with me lol

so here are some new pictures. they are pretty much just random ones and don't really have a theme.

this ones pretty much just happened cause I had a craving for gummi bears and cause I was bored lol

took these pictures, cause I wanted a new header for my journal with bright colors

and this shot happened, cause I was looking through an board for dslr photography and thought it looked really cool with the heart and all. so I tried it too

and one of me and my new haircut, well not really new more like semi-new. I just cut it a little shorter in the front and on the side, cause I don't like it when all hair is pulled back.
yeah still not sure if I like it that way, but it looks better when my hair is straightend out


so that was it for now.
I'm going on holidays tomorrow, so there will be lots of pictures when I get back ;)

candy, candy and more candy

time for a new post :)

recently I've been eating all kinds of sweet things. the sweeter the better lol

who else loves donuts? seriously I just love them. I haven't eaten some in like two years, cause they don't sell them here everywhere. BUT some time ago I was wandering through the supermarket looking for a lunch and there I saw them. I'm telling you I almost ate all of them at once ;)

another thing that's really yummy and quite good when its that hot inside are milkshakes. you have no idea how good a nutterbuttershake is. I actually was gonna go for an oreoshake, but they didn't had oreo cookies anymore :(

I'm not sure which one I like more. the nutterbuttershake from the coffe shop or the vanilla frappucino from starbucks lol
